Henry Flores - Inverted Color and Negative Photography
I remember the good Ole days when I was on the hunt looking for Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, and Britney Spears back when they were at the peak of their career. It was actually fun to take their picture. I was probably waiting just outside Hyde nightclub and I was trying to decide who I was going to follow. The night was always existing and very unpredictable. Today, I don’t even like to take their picture unless it is a setup. Wow! The time has really passed.

The best photos I took while in Canada where the photos that I took while at Niagara Falls. Their is something about a powerful waterfall that divides two countries. My wife and I did the entire tourist experience. We got on the Maid of the Mist and experience the waterfall first hand. I initially thought that it was not going to be worth it, but I was wrong, it was.

Every once in a while after doing a photo shoot with a sexy model, I feel inspired to continue taking pictures on my drive home. It helps me relax as working with talent is sometimes difficult because the photos have to look great. I have stopped for a double rainbow, for a homeless man praying to the heavens, and a sexy girl in lingerie walking the street holding a ‘will work for lingerie’ sign (I will post this one next in a few days). So, I was driving home and I turned on my small camera, namely my Canon G9. It was night time and I wanted a very slow shutter. So I set my camera and through my dirty windshield I took these photos. What do you think?

Alexia Starchild at Urth Cafe, Photographs by Henry Flores
Today I found myself having an amazing interview with the Swedish National Broadcasting Corporation. After our two hour interview, we headed to the streets. It was already late but I was determined to find anyone. The sun was starting to come down and I only had one hour to go. The video crew was in my car and I was getting nervous. I needed to come through and show them that I could. To make matter worst, I felt that it was about to rain. I went up and down all the transition streets in my route and I ended up on Melrose Avenue. There is when I spotted Alexia Starchild walking towards the cafe. It was dark and I was surprised that I was able to get some shots and for some amazing coincidence, the Swedes knew her. It was win, win. Caroline D’Amore (http://www.carolinedamore.net) invited me one more time to the Roxy Night Club and to tell you the truth, I kinda like going there. Besides the performance, I like the atmosphere there.
Caroline D’Amore was looking great. She was wearing a gorgeous dress, custom made to fit and it looked perfect on her. Caroline was going to perform with her boyfriend’s band, the Street Drum Corps, who were the headliners for the Roxy.
During her performance, Caroline D’Amore and her boyfriend Bobby Alt, who is the singer and drummer of Street Drum Corps (http://www.streetdrumcorps.com) got a little sensual on stage.

Caroline D’Amore pre-show at the Roxy – Photography and Video by Henry Flores

I caught up with Caroline D’Amore pre-show at the very famous Roxy Night Club as she prepared to present all her music live. It all started as I arrived at the Roxy. I got there a bit early cause I didn’t want any trouble at the door. I was actually there before the security and door people got there, just as the band was finishing the final touches on stage. I went inside and then upstairs and I started to look for any sign of life. It wasn’t until I walked into one of the dressing rooms that I noticed my friend and my photographic subject, Caroline D’Amore (http://www.carolinedamore.net). She was running around getting all the final preparations done with make up, hair, and everything else that goes on before the performance. Her performance was incredible. It was choreographed by Brittany Hughes. After her show, I captured Caroline D’Amore hanging out and kissing with her boyfriend Bobby Alt, who is the singer and drummer of Street Drum Corps. I quickly took the opportunity to have them pose for a few artistic photos of the couple on the red and blue running lights along the upstairs hallway. I told them to get into a position and then not to move. I was going to be shooting at 1/8th of a second, even my heartbeat, could make my shots blurry. Somehow, I was able to pull it off.
