Kelly Slater Jumps In The Water Like A Dolphin, Photos By Henry Flores

It is really magical seeing someone like Kelly Slater jump in the water like a dolphin and watch him float away into the sunset. Especially when I remember trying the whole surf thing and thinking that I was going to die when I got caught in two washing machine like waves and getting thrown underwater from side to side in a rinse and repeat cycle. Kelly almost made me go out there once again to touch the water.

I am very positive that Kelly Slater recognized me. I would have recognized myself after the hosedown that I gave him when he was dating Cameron Diaz. He was really in demand by the public and the public really wanted to see some photos of Kelly. We were on the same plane from Hawaii to LA a few years ago. We were right next to each other getting our bags. It was a super red-eye fight that we took and I was debating on whether to take a picture or not, because I was so tired. I obviously decided to do it. It was a proper paparazzi hosedown. Well, Kelly was cool with me taking his photos the other day. He probably forgave me.

The Best Sunsets Happen In Hawaii, Photos by Henry Flores

I have been to Hawaii many times and I think that this is the first time that I have ever photographed its sunsets. It is super easy to take these photos because the sunsets are magnificent from every angle. Just point and shoot. These photos were actually taken with my iPhone 4S again. I was carrying my Canon G9 with me, but I didn’t even take it out. It is crazy to think that the Pro-Camera is not needed for such an amazing shot. I am going to propose these shots for a gallery exhibition. I wonder if there are going to be any takers.

Location, Location, Location is what every photographer says regarding their best photographs. It also makes it easy to get a great photograph when working with a very talented and beautiful model like Marisa Sundari. While in Hawaii last year, I had the great privileged of finding the next ‘it’ girl, Marisa Sundari. I first met her at a local coffee shop and we hit it off with our personalities. We both knew that we were going to be creating great photographs together. She was easy going and easy to work with. One day, we decided to go location scouting. It didn’t take long in Hawaii’s Paradise to find the perfect location. It was perfect, the lighting, the weather, the tree, the ocean, the beach, the dress, and Marisa Sundari.

Marisa Sundari Models On A Chopper Motorcycle For Photographer Henry Flores

Here is a sneak peak of never before seen photographs of the very talented model and actress, Marisa Sundari. While in Hawaii last year, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph Marisa Sundari on a Custom Chopper Motorcycle. It all started as casual as Hawaii can be. We started to walk the beach area hoping to take pictures with a hotel as a backdrop, but the light was too harsh facing that direction. We then found this water break built into the ocean kinda like a peer built with rocks. We noticed a few surfers walking on the rocks to get into the deep water. Marisa and I decided to give it a try. We took some great photos there and little did we know that we had an audience, including this motorcycle gang, which had already set up there choppers waiting for our return. As soon as we started to head back into land, one of the locals asks me if I would like to photograph Marisa on the bike. One look at the bike and we said, yes. This was the moment that we were waiting for. This concluded our shoot for the day. What do you think?

Sometimes finding a good location for a fine art photo shoot is an easy task, especially when you are in Oahu, Hawaii. Thanks to the gorgeous model and actress, Marisa Sundari, we were able to created these awesome low light, fine art photos. I asked her to meet me in the worst part of town, which coincidentally feels like Beverly Hills at Night, China Town. It was night time and I had her wear a red dress. I could say that anyone would fancy Marisa in that dress and so did the onlookers as they sat around to watch her be photographed. Enjoy the massive gallery of photos and let me know what you think?
