My baby boy is growing so fast. Just today I had a full blown conversation with him about life. He wouldn’t stop talking and I couldn’t stop listening… He was so insightful. Even though we are approaching week six since I was blessed with his birth, here are the week four photos that I took of him. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do.

Finding Dawn Olivieri working out at the beach the other day was truly an amazing experience. She was the coolest celebrity that I have photographed as she even interrupted her workout to let me take a few photos using my Holga 120N, which I call My Plastic Camera.

In order to get back into what I consider true photography, I decided many months back to start doing everything that involves photography. What I mean by everything is using film, developing that film, and eventually scan that film and place it on my blog. I have succeed in going to the store to buy film and taking pictures with film… I have not done the development of the film yet, but I have bought all the chemicals needed. Note that I tricked you all with the last step which I call “scan the film to digital”, when it should have been enlarge film negative to print. I don’t think that anybody gets prints anymore, do they?

I also wanted to get back to my own photography roots in a unique way, different than what I was accustomed to. So, I decided to venture into photography with My Plastic Camera (http://www.henryflores.com/books/my-plastic-camera/). After taking pictures for some time with My Plastic Camera, my collection has made me want to do a book based on this new art. Please follow this blog as I develop and select some of the photographs that may go into this book. Also, please let me know what you think?
By the way, taking pictures with a Holga 120N is sometimes unpredictable. But the shots can be very dramatic.

Every well known photographer that I know, which I admire, or that is recognized by any museum of modern art, or recognized by the general public, has some sort of collection of photographs that involves beautiful women modeling. These well known photographers have also been published featuring such collections. The rule, according to me is, you need to photograph beautiful female models or Male/Female celebrities.

My goal is to make my own collection of beautiful images with beautiful models in a book called Alluring Desires. My goal is to have both, beautiful female models and Female celebrities. My target, however, it to have a boudoir / burlesque style in those photographs. This is going to be a fun project and I am looking forward to it.

Esti Ashkenazi will hopefully be one of those models that will be featured in my book. I have known Esti for over 8 years now. I used to dance for her dance troop. She is an amazing choreographer and model. Would you like to be one of my models? I am looking to engage experienced and amateur female models who are interested in posing in Fashion, Glamour, Boudoir and Fine Art type photos for me. The idea is to potentially include some of the photos on my Alluring Desires Book(http://www.henryflores.com/books/alluring-desires/).
I am looking for potential models located in the Los Angeles, California and all surrounding areas. You must be at least 18 years of age and be able to provide a state issued ID at the time of the photo shoot.
Payment will be one dollar plus a CD/DVD with all images to use for your portfolio with a model release signature.

Henry Flores graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, and began what he thought would be a long and prosperous career as an electrical engineer designing new technology for the medical, telecommunications and military / defense industries. In need of a hobby to release his creative energy while in college, he fell in love with photography, seeing it as a hobby that he could take into retirement. It was an honor to be asked to do some photos for Master Chef Orazio Parisi. The photos are going to be used to advertise some of the food featured at the restaurant. After having a baby with my wife and after adoring him and watching him grow a little more and become a lot more stronger, I realized that I have not done any work in a while. My precious boy will be four weeks on Tuesday, which means that I have not done any work since then. Time flies when you are having fun. So, here it is… I need to get back into the swing of things and hence, my search needs to begin once again.
