A Day In The Life Of The Paparazzi features a living vicariously approach to depicting the trade of the paparazzo, with self-narrated adventures in every vignette and interspersed photographs that aptly represent the craft. Through them, the author convincingly declares, “I am part of the entertainment industry and without me or without the other paparazzi out there, celebrities wouldn’t be who they are.” Follow the author and photographer, Henry Flores, on his pursuit to get that perfect shot. As he famously states, “Sometimes you only have seconds to react, so you have to always be prepared, because those mere seconds are all you may get to secure a good shot!”
A Day In The Life Of The Paparazzi curates shockingly candid, under-produced portraits of larger-than-life personalities like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Britney Spears into a work of art. The front cover of the book has a picture of Lindsay Lohan surrounded by paparazzi, which he took while she was at the peak of her career. The book begins with a raucous image of Lindsay Lohan leaving Paris Hilton’s house at four o’clock in the morning, and ends with intimate shots of Henry Flores and other celebrities. The pages in between tell the story of celebrity and its business, but not in the slick, censored way stars are usually portrayed. Publicists or Photoshop do not hinder Henry Flores’ photographs. The book contains 120 pages of celebrity photos along with some never before seen photos of the starlets of today and possibly, the icons of tomorrow.
Henry Flores has been featured on ABC World News, NightLine, Extra TV, and many other media productions, including documentaries from Germany, Canada, and the USA. After the nicest guy, Jason Statham, threw his cart at me, he got into his car and then drove directly in front of the grocery store. The idea was to get as close to the door as possible so that the awful paparazzi do not get a shot of her, after all, she is the one that sells. Soon after that, she came out and all the awful paparazzi got shots.

I Think That If You Are Once An Ass, You Will Always Be An Ass – I Photographed Jason Statham The Other Day

The two times that I have photographed Jason Statham, he was the most thoughtful celebrity that I have ever photographed. The first time, he flipped me the bird. I guess because he was being thoughtful and giving me the photograph that sells, the one of him flipping me off. The second time, picture below, he was throwing his empty cart at me.
This is the story… I just finished signing some books that will be sold at Samy’s Camera. It was early in the day and so I figured I was going to go look around the streets of West Hollywood for old times sakes just to see if I could find some of the old photographers that I used to hang out with and maybe spot a celebrity or two. I went to the old streets, and nothing. I finally decided that I was going to go to my usual pee stop, Bristol Farms. I used to do that all the time and this time, to my surprise, I stumbled upon Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington Whiteley in isle three looking for wine and cheese. I carried on to my pee break and then I headed to my car to wait for them to come out. They did not know that I was around. I went to my car and I waited. To my surprise, Malaka was next to me in another car. I didn’t even know that he was around until he lowered his window to chat with me. Malaka asked me if I knew who was in there and I told him, yes. Before you know it, there were so many paparazzi waiting for them to come out. Eventually he came out alone. He was pushing a cart full of groceries. He unloaded the cart and out of all the paparazzi he turned to me. Then he threw his cart at me.

Henry Flores Visits City Hall

I remember back in the days, 2008 to be precise, the Anti-Paparazzi movement was happening. Everyone wanted to pass laws against these awful people called paparazzi. Eric Roberts was on the stand saying that he was surrounded by paparazzi every time he left his house. Yeah right! I don’t think that anyone can sell a picture of Eric Roberts even without a shirt off. Well, I guess he probably forgot to mention that every time he was surrounded by paparazzi, he was with his sister Julia Roberts. And what’s his name… Milo Ventimiglia, I had to look up his name, said that he was also followed consistently by paparazzi. He also forgot to mention that he was with Hayden Panettiere at his side. Well, to make a long story short. Nothing ever happened! My business partner, Brad Elterman and myself were the only agency that showed up to see what was going to happen. Nothing did! The paparazzi eventually started going away as prices for their pictures kept falling with the rise of the internet. Soon, after all the paparazzi are gone. I will probably go out to take pictures again. By then, there is going to be so much demand for these photos that I could make a killing on my prices. 
Till the day happens… For now, enjoy my staged celebrity photos and my personal photos.

It is really magical seeing someone like Kelly Slater jump in the water like a dolphin and watch him float away into the sunset. Especially when I remember trying the whole surf thing and thinking that I was going to die when I got caught in two washing machine like waves and getting thrown underwater from side to side in a rinse and repeat cycle. Kelly almost made me go out there once again to touch the water.

I am very positive that Kelly Slater recognized me. I would have recognized myself after the hosedown that I gave him when he was dating Cameron Diaz. He was really in demand by the public and the public really wanted to see some photos of Kelly. We were on the same plane from Hawaii to LA a few years ago. We were right next to each other getting our bags. It was a super red-eye fight that we took and I was debating on whether to take a picture or not, because I was so tired. I obviously decided to do it. It was a proper paparazzi hosedown. Well, Kelly was cool with me taking his photos the other day. He probably forgave me.

Some people ask me if I ever get star-struck by meeting and sometimes hanging out with the rich and famous, and my answer is no. I do wish I had their money though. I could do so much more with it than they do. For example, most celebrities try to be green by driving a modern electric car, which has the same MPG as a Geo Metro from the 80′s. I would invest in creating my own car company that has no influence with the oil companies. Wait, someone already did. If I was a celebrity, I would at least be driving a Tesla Motors Car. Their slogan, “Tesla technology offers the most efficient path to a sustainable energy future. No hybrids. No hydrogen. No hype.” So, I would invest in making that technology more affordable. I would do so much more and that is just one example. I want my son’s future to look favorable for once.

Radio From Hell is an American radio program broadcast weekday mornings on Salt Lake City, Utah’s KXRK 96.3FM, simulcast via a live internet audio stream, and available as an iTunes podcast or downloadable MP3.
The show features hosts Kerry Jackson, Bill Allred, and Gina Barberi. Radio From Hell is the longest running radio program in the Salt Lake City area, and has consistently been rated as one of the best programs in the area by media reviews and polls. The show has received praise from outside the Utah region; Rolling Stone cited KXRK as one of the top-five rock and roll radio stations in the U.S., and reported that Radio From Hell was one of the longest-running local radio programs in the U.S.
